Taxi
You can find a taxi anywhere in Shenzhen's
streets to make your trip of this city easier. There are three kinds of
taxi running in this city for you to choose. One is in red color the price
of which is CNY12.5 for the first 3 kilometers (about 1.86 miles) and
then CNY2.4 for every additional kilometer (about 0.62 mile). The yellow
taxi has the same fee schedule as the red on. The yellow taxicabs shall
only run within the Special Economic Zone of Shenzhen while the red ones
can run within and out of the zone.
The
other one is in green color that only runs out of the Special Economic
Zone. Its price is CNY7 for the first 2 kilometers (about 1.24 miles)
and the distance surcharge is CNY1.6 per additional kilometer. Finally,
for both of them, CNY0.8 will be added to your fare for every waiting
time of one minute.
Tips:
1.The night-driving taxi fare is CNY16 for the first three kilometers
after 23:00.
2.Part of Shenzhen taxis can pay by swiping Shenzhen Tong Card which is
issued by the government for people to take public inner city transportation.
It is mainly used while taking subways and city-buses in the past offering
some discounts. However, part of the taxis accepts the payment by this
kind of card.
3.There are not motorcycles operating within the special zone, which can
be found outside the zone. You had better not taking them for the sake
of safety. If not clear about the city-bus routes, try to call 160 to
inquiry the reliable information. It costs CNY1 per minute.
